One of the many materials of tungsten carbide strips, it is named because of its shape of rectangular plate (or square), also known as tungsten carbide long strip plate. Cemented carbide strip is mainly made of WC tungsten carbide and Co cobalt powder mixed by metallurgical method through powdering, ball milling, pressing and sintering, the main alloy components are WC and Co. The composition content of WC and Co in cemented carbide strips for different applications is not consistent, and the scope of use is extremely wide.
Tungsten carbide strips have excellent hardness, high hardness, good wear resistance, high modulus of elasticity, high compressive strength, good chemical stability (acid, alkali, high temperature oxidation resistance), low impact toughness, low coefficient of expansion, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and iron and its alloys are similar to the characteristics of the alloy.

YG6 has higher abrasion resistance, but lower than YG3, better than YG3X in shock and vibration resistance. Suitable for cast iron, non-ferrous metals and alloys, non-metallic materials, semi-finishing and finishing of medium cutting speed.
YG8 has high strength, better impact resistance and vibration resistance than YG6, but lower wear resistance and allowable cutting speed. Suitable for cast iron, non-ferrous metals and alloys, non-metallic materials, low-speed roughing.
